About Me
I am a 42 year old father of two girls. I have been a member of the Carpentersville community for my entire life. I have lived in my current home for over 16 years and am a proud product of the District 300 school system, Elgin Community College and Northern Illinois University, where I obtained a bachelor’s of science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting and minor in Communications.
Professional Experience
My first job out of college was as an auditor. I held that position for 4 years before advancing into audit management, where I was responsible for creating and executing departmental budgets. I also managed teams of auditors, resolved audit issues, streamlined our testing procedures and built relationships with clients.
After over 9 years as an audit manager, I was promoted to my company’s Product Development department. My primary responsibilities included project management, identifying and resolving potential issues/glitches, developing algorithm-based predictive analytic software that automated audit procedures, and negotiating new partnerships with other organizations.
After a year in that role, I advanced to my current position in Client Development where I oversee revenue for my company. My primary responsibilities include maintaining and growing revenue through a combination of strengthening relationships with current clients, bringing new products to market that combat digital advertising fraud, advocating for transparency as a speaker at industry events, engaging potential new clients, cultivating and negotiating partnerships with other organizations, and collaborating with my company’s senior executives and board of directors.
Trustee Experience
I have always followed local issues closely and decided to take that interest to the next level when I was unanimously appointed to fill a vacancy on the Village Board in October, 2013. I then ran for and won my current seat in the 2014 election. My experience thus far in the Trustee position and as chairman of the village’s Audit & Finance commission has helped me realize that this is the capacity in which I wish to further serve the community for the next four years.
Philosophy
I believe in a transparent government that honors the Constitutional rights of individuals while providing essential services to the community at the lowest possible cost to taxpayers.
